American Mathematics Olympiad (AMO)
Created in 1977 by Dr. George Lenchner, an internationally known math educator, the Math Olympiads went public in 1979. Last year nearly 150,000 students from 6,000 teams worldwide participated in the Olympiads. All 50 states and about 30 other countries and territories were represented.
American Mathematics Olympiad (AMO) is an affiliate of Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools, USA (MOEMS) and there are similar affiliates in Columbia, Iceland, Australia (APSMO), Philippines, China and India. MOEMS is one of the oldest and most established primary and secondary school math competition in the world.

To develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems
To provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges
To open up US University Scholarship and Education opportunities for students
AMO is open to all Year 2 to 9 (Primary 2 to Secondary 3) Malaysian students.
All Malaysian students who have won Gold/ Silver/ Bronze Award in AMO 2019 will be invited to join SIMOC (Singapore International Mathematics Olympiad Challenge) in Singapore. Malaysian students who have won Gold/ Silver Award will be invited to join STEAM AHEAD 2020: IJMO (International Junior Math Olympiad). Contest entry is available on a first come first served basis, so register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

All participating schools MUST have at least 10 students taking part.
All participants MUST register according to CURRENT Year Level in school.
IMPORTANT!!! AMO Registrations submitted without meeting minimum requirements will be automatically voided/ disqualified and no refund will be entertained.
Fill up the form with your student details then email the form back to email@example.com, together with your bank-in slip.
Please make payment via Instant Bank Transfer to SMO TESTING SERVICES SDN BHD (Maybank account no.: MBB 5122 2263 7004).
AMO will be held in your school and no travelling is required.
We will send the AMO question papers to your school by post, a few days before competition’s sitting date. After the competition, the teacher-in-charge (PIC) appointed by your school will send the question papers (with solutions and answers) back to SMO by post, on the competition day itself.
